Struggling with colour under the shimmering sunlight
During our walk around Lisbon, we came across the Portuguese Parliament.
Difficult thing to shoot, this. The sun was shining straight down the white stone front of the building with a vengeance – it’s not that you needed a filter for the camera, you needed shades for yourself.
I underexposed the shots by over 1 f-stop (hence the deep blue sky), and have been playing around with the contrast, white balance and blacks to try and produce something good.
