Outside the Oceanarium: Tagus River

The Tagus (Tejo, in Portuguese) is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula. It is also one of the most beautiful, and it is the primary reason why Lisbon is where it is – built around its estuary.

This is the outside of the Oceanarium, overseeing the river.

Tagus Oceanarium 02And this is the main building, where the entrance to the Oceanarium is. Note the scaley texture; it’s a dead give-away that something fishy goes on in there.
