The Red Arrows at Duxford

To end the Spring Air show at Duxford there was a display by the Red Arrows. This began with the spectacular sight of a fly past with the Red Arrows flying in formation with the Eagle Squadron (Republic P-47G Thunderbolt; North American P-51 Mustang; Supermarine Spitfire Mk 1a; Hawker Hurricane). Quite a sight!

Then with the fly past complete the Red Arrows began their display.

For those interested in the camera set-up – these were taken with my new Canon 100D and my old Tamron 70-300mm. There has been no processing of these images other than a little cropping in places.

  1. Hi! Firstly, great photos . . I mean really great. Secondly, I’m creating a community website for the village of Horsford in Norfolk. One of the things I’m researching and writing about is the crash of a P-51 in the village in ’44. The pilot himself was one of the Bottisham Four and had earlier flown the P-47. I’ve been looking for a photo of a Mustang, Thunderbolt and Spitfire to feature (for comparison). Your red arrows photo with the same planes is absolutely awesome. Is there any chance in hell I could persuade you to let me feature it?
