The Wild One
Do you remember The Wild One, the 1954 classic that more or less made Marlon Brando’s fame?
In the film he rides a Triumph Thunderbird 6T – legend has it this might have been his own motorcycle – and that made Triumph twins themselves instant classics. So much so that after Triumph’s 1990s rebirth under John Bloor, the company was quick to revive their 2-cylinder classic line, with modern technology disguised under a classic styling. Best of all, the Bonneville; and that brings us neatly to today’s shot.
Over the course of a year or so I have seen this beauty go from a bog standard Bonnie to a mod bike, complete with new pipes and a shallower seat. I adore it.
