We went for a very long walk last Saturday morning, to get us out of the house and away from the computers. We had a good time and ended up watching Brave. It’s a nice film – shame none of us remembered to wear a Disney Princess dress.
During our walk we saw a very old bus, restored and repainted, serving as a wedding wagon. It looked great, but there were too many people around for us to take a photo – you know, pull out a camera anywhere near a bride and she’ll immediately start to pose – so we quickly got on our way. Amusingly, yesterday afternoon the same bus was just outside the church down the bottom of our street.
The photo was developed in SilkyPix (I can’t seem to get RawTherapee to work well with photos shot on the Lumix LX3). The bus is so full of character I decided to develop this shot with one of the Film Colour effects and remove all the sharpening – the softer focus certainly helps. The prim looking lady really does compose the shot.
